How to Play Block Blast

It's pretty simple and easy to learn how to play, but you need to carefully plan every move:

• Draw blocks: On your turn you get three random blocks from the bottom of the screen. You have to get all three of them before another set of blocks come around.
• Grid: Drag and drop these items wherever on an empty 8x8 board.
• No Rotation: The blocks cannot be rotated. Your task is to set out the board using the exact shapes given to you.
• Remove : If you fill a column ( vertical or horizontal row ) with 8 blocks , they will be removed from the board and you will get points .
• End Game: When none of your blocks can fit into the vacant slots, the game finishes immediately.

The 8x8 Board Area

The board gets smaller every time you put a block down. Each play has two immediate effects:

Reduce the remaining space in the board.

Restrict the spots where blocks can be placed next turn.

This causes the board to become increasingly cluttered over time. If you don’t clear the vacant area you can only make so many moves before the game is ended. This "board collapse" can be postponed for as long as feasible by a good player.

Random Block Treatment

You get three random blocks each turn. You can't resize or reorder them. So, good players never rely on "luck" and always wait for a good piece. They always clear a path so there is a place to put the piece, no matter how bad it is.

One hit clears vs combos

To acquire extra space you have to remove rid of lines, but the way you do it matters:

• Single queue clears: These keep you alive for a while and prevent the board from filling up too fast.
• Clearing multiple lines, known as 'combos', clears the board, and gives you a lot of extra points. You want a high score? Build up massive combo clears instead of clearing single rows right away.
